The Wars of the Roses were a violent series of medieval civil wars between the rival York and Lancaster families within the house of Plantagenet. The power struggles, battles, and royal intrigues spanned over 30 years, leading to the decisive Battle of Bosworth and the rise of the Tudor dynasty. We will unravel the origins of the conflict, the role of key figures like Henry VI and Richard Duke of York, and the impact of the Hundred Years War.

So the 1500s were the most violent time since the 1000s, makes sense why 2000’s Britain is looking this way.
Great documentary
The costumes are a little funky as if they came from the attic of a community playhouse
How much of this could have been averted if Edward hadn’t favored the bloodsucking Woodville family of leeches and parasites
Stanley was the consummate opportunist – hold back until there’s a clear winner then declare your undying loyalty.
And his wife was an absolute horror. A fanatic who would slit your throat in order for her own brat to become king, then proclaim it to be God’s will
They found Richard's bones. He was as malformed as Shakespeare said. The archeologist who found him had been tracking him down to prove he wasn't malformed. When she say him she cried because he was lmao. Good times
If Edward iv grandmother was Joan Beaufort why is he not considered a Beaufort? His other Grandmother was Anne Mortimer, more direct from Edward iii than Henry vi, what a mad time! Still amazes me that a family fued was able to get that amount of people to fight and die for them
A Short British history Brief would be: Wars, Betrayals upon Betrayals, Death Sentences and more Betrayals 😂 Great Documentary though ❤
I'm going to watch this a couple more times to grasp all the court intrigue.
If sounds like yorks were better men. They deafened lancastrians instraight battles every time and their kings were more liked by people.
The adverts on this are absolutely ridiculous. Completely ruin a wonderful documentary
