  1. I’m rewatching this and at 8:47 it says Nobusuke Kishi is the prime minister who introduced the income doubling plan and related policies, he’s not. Kishi was notoriously elitist, corrupt, and pro-American, and was actually ousted following the Anpo Protests against those American treaties mentioned before. The one who actually deserves credit for the Income Doubling Plan and associated policies is his successor Hayato Ikeda.
