This 2-hour video explores the dramatic rise and tragic decline of one of the longest-lasting empires in history — the Ottoman Empire, and the fatal decisions that ultimately brought it to its end.

From its humble beginnings as a small Anatolian beylik to its dominance over three continents, the Ottoman Empire shaped centuries of world history. It conquered Constantinople, stood at the gates of Vienna, and ruled over diverse peoples and cultures. Yet behind the splendor of its palaces and the strength of its armies lay deep political struggles, internal corruption, and one critical mistake that set the stage for collapse.

  1. It’s possible that this information is false, because there is no way Sultan Murad could have been killed by a knight, as the Serbs claim. That battle involved several peoples, as it was a coalition, and the battle took place on the land ruled by Lazar, the Serbian prince.

If one uses just a bit of logic, it becomes clear that Murad was actually killed by his own son, Bayezid, in order to seize the throne. This was his opportunity, because Sultan Murad favored his other son, Yakub. Yakub was summoned to the camp in the name of the Sultan, but soon realized it was a trap and was killed the same day as his father by Bayezid’s loyal forces.

The Sultan was heavily guarded by his own soldiers, so it would have been impossible for an enemy knight who had been captured to kill him.
If Sultan Murad had not died on that day of battle, Prince Bayezid would later have had to fight against the Ottoman forces that supported Prince Yakub in order to claim the throne. In other words, a considerable part of the Ottoman army backed Yakub — as often happened after the death of sultans, when the empire would fall into civil war between the princes.

Therefore, it is entirely logical that Prince Bayezid set up a trap and killed both Sultan Murad and Yakub, thus securing the throne for himself.

  2. You are blatantly forgetting some of the points of these evil sultans of turkey. These people were sick humans they raped pillaged chopped people up that did not submit to these sick people. These people should have been wiped off the earth but they are still here causing the same things they have been doing for centuries.

  3. Born Islamists are less radical than the bloody converted ones.. But in the end both are Terrorists with a goal of World Invasion – Continuing even today in Europe & America after blasting population and migration from less than half a dozen countries to 57 OIC nations Post WW2 backed, funded & shielded by the same American & Europe Cold War Policies to construct Regime Changes in Africa & South Asia..
