  1. Great chap! He wrote a book, "The variation in the odour of female genitalia around the World." Was in special libraries in the UK with other naughty books like "Lady Chataterlies lover." Any chance of being sponsored for a follow up of his investigations?

  2. Ii truly enjoyed your video about Sir Richard Burton. I first learned about him from the film "Mountains of the Moon." I did a little more research and discovered what an extraordinary and intelligent person he was. Thanks for the brief biography of Sir Richard.

  3. I've read a biography and 2 of his own books. His analysis and eye for detail can be ponderous and difficult reading.Footnote after footnote and full of Victorian era ellipsis and allusions. Also, grammar and writing style of early 19th C. is rough sledding for any reader. Despite all the action and curious events his work is really just for academics, today.
His fascination with sexual practices is just showmanship, to me. He knew that humans are fascinated by other people's sex lives and gave the public what they want. Same could be said about 21st C books/movies/TV, right?
