Its the longest elevated pedestrian foot bridge of the length of 3 miles in the state of new york over the hudson river and named the Poughkeepsie bridge

When it first appeared I thought "man, that looks like a Railroad bridge" only for you to reveal that it originally was a Railroad bridge!! Reminds me of the Kinzua Viaduct here in Pennsylvania.
Poughkeepsie also has a suspension bridge for cars just south of this one. It’s not as interesting, but if you walk across it there is a kiosk in the center where you can listen to bridge music, an artist installation of an album of music wholly comprised of sounds from the bridge.
