I now live in Concho, Az and love the history of this state and know these locations and incidents. I have hiked the Butterfield stage route in the Anza Borrega as a civil war reenactor of the California Column and much of the original stage coach ruts can be found in the desert cut in the rock trail.

So the Indians were framed as an excuse to massacre them.
My g grandfather and g grandmother spent periods of time in Wickenburg. He, Alpheus, planted varieties of fruit trees along the Hassayampa River, kind of like Johnny Appleseed.
All in all, it was a true tragedy for the natives. One can't imagine the true depth and scope of these atrocities.
