Even if every country got what it wanted there would never be peace, everyone knows that. Unfortunately people in that region are never happy.

Considering that Israel and Palestine have both existed since right after World War II it looks to me like the British kept their word. Also to say that this conflict is only a hundred years old and started by the British is very naive and ignorant. This conflict is thousands of years old but since that makes it hard to blame on the white man, people usually don't look back that far

And remember something else, the Ottomans already were selling land to Zionist Jews, and after that, it was intensified during the 1920's and 1930's, which came to it's apex in the 1940's, when Nazi Germany made the Haavara Accord with the Zionists to transfer the rest of the Jews to Palestine, which then caused the First Jewish-Arab War in 1948.
