Here we go travelling back in time to listen to some of the great music from the 60s. I had never heard of The Mama’s and The Papa’s before today. I feel as though California Dreamin’ has a very mysterious sound to it. I have no idea why. To be honest I don’t even know what genre of music California Dreamin’ would fall under I just feel like you guys would enjoy this song.
I am looking forward to hearing more about The Mama’s and The Papa’s so if you have any information about them please put it in the comments for me to read 🙂
Here is my reaction to hearing The Mama’s and The Papa’s – California Dreamin’ for the first time. I hope you enjoy it!

There’s a subtle political undercurrent to this song, given the decade it came from. The warmth of California can also symbolize its embrace of freedom of expression and peace, love and rock n’ roll given the countercultural movements burgeoning there, compared to the more conservative stodginess elsewhere in the country symbolized by the coldness and church environment.
Mama Cass Elliot was in a London hotel speaking to a friend on the phone when she suddenly passed away. She was not very old at the time. Sorely missed.
Definitely check out more songs by this group. The dark hair woman is Cass Elliott her vocals are amazing.
He's quite the actOR. After a few times, I just can't believe it. Maybe I am mistaken. Is this truly finding out what music is? It's the harmonies and the yes, minor key, that is haunting you. The writer felt the haunting and knew how to convey it in musical form.
