The weight of the components inside is not evenly distributed
The camera system is designed to be located in the upper right corner, making it weigh more than the other three corners.
Moment of inertia is less in both orientation and is maximum in that one orientation thats why is not stable

So many people never skateboarded and it shows.
Well, after trying a few times I can tell you this. It happens because you are bad at flipping phones. 🤣I did it perfectly fine many times. I know why it is harder to flip in that direction cleanly (moment of inertia, etc.), but to say that it never flips cleanly is just not correct.
