Funny Lady watch it
I love your first words after the song was over, "What rock HAVE I been under?" I totally get what you're feeling. Yes she was/is an actress, and a movie director, a Broadway icon and of course she is an incredible singer. She even made DISCO badass. (Enough is Enough…her AND Donna Summer…what???)
Any comparison to Ms. Streisand and Suzanne Somers is laughable. I'm sure Suzanne Somers is a decent actress in comedy but good grief. Please check out Barbra's music, movies, stage performances etc. She is magnificent!
without doubt the best female vocalist ever in living memory. celine, yeah, absolutely phenomenal, karen carpenter, no on can touch her for tone. dynamics…. no on can touch Barbra. stunning voice. and as a side note, what an absolutely amazing actress!
You've never seen Hello Dolly ? Watch hello dolly..the woman is incredible
CATS!
"Memory" is from the Broadway musical "Cats". My favorite moments of her singing is her duet with Celine Dion — two of the greatest female vocalists ever — and "Papa, Can You Hear Me" from her movie "Yentl". THAT'S a moment you really should experience. A prayer to her deceased father.
How can you be a musician and not know who Barbara Streisand is? It's almost like not knowing who Elvis was. I'm glad you now know who she is.
Check out Barbra Streisand's album 'Butterfly' (1974) my favorite song is 'Love in the Afternoon'. Listen to the words and remember it's 1974!
This song is from the musical Cats, a Broadway sensation.
