It's funny how almost nobody has ever got that her "ex" was the alter ego of Thor. Yes Thor did have an alternate identity before he was "turned into" Thor. It was later retconned and Thor took on another secret identity as a construction worker named Sigurd Jarlson after he had seen a story about Superman (refered to not by name of course, but as a mighty warrior who no one could recognize when he was wearing glasses). The secret identity of Donald Blake made for another interesting facet of the Thor comics. After it was changed the character really struggled in sales so they had to constantly team him up with another hero or team. He would eventually get more solo titles, especially now that he's regained popularity again.
