The war scenes are actually filmed in England, a place called Beckton . They had the same architecture as Huawei. AND he flew in a insane amount of palmtrees, numbered them and moved them around . Til MR Stanley Kubrick was pleased .

When Stanley saw what Lee did, he tore the script apart . And pointed the camera at Lee Ermey . About everything Lee did and said , was improvised.
