  2. Back in the day, that's what I ate when I went to Torrance Heat Treat to drop off and pick up parts for a machine shop. I would often stop at a Vietnamese restaurant. Vietnamese and Thai (and Laotian) are my favorite Asian cuisines. I remember that big Vietnamese Catholic cultural center, near Buena Park, as I recall, and a little hole-in-the-wall Buddhist temple that was discriminated against by some members of the Vietnamese community. I grew up in north San Diego County, where there is the Deer Park monastery and the Wat Mettā monastery. Here, where I now reside, there's nothing like that. I'm not into Tibetan Buddhism. I studied Theravada and Chan (Thiền, Zen).

  5. You do realize that all the sources that yall refer to in order to call Che a muderer and whatever else are literally contradictory to your claims?

    There’s only one person that can be confirmed who was killed by Guevara. And that person literally told them to kill him because he was giving information to the enemy, which was well known to hold the death penalty. Che then had a trial for this man, and when he was found guilty, he only shot him because nobody else was stepping up to the plate. It’s a tragic scenario for sure, but the killing wasn’t unjustified under the legal parameters. Like I said, the man knew the punishment and told them to execute that punishment.

    Che did oversee trials for other traitors, and the only ones executed were those that were torturing, raping and murdering civilians in the previous regime. There’s no evidence that he was executing civilians.

    If anybody disagrees, then provide the source and we can examine it together and see who’s more correct.

  7. Most of the people in the USA wouldn't know the difference between communism and socialism.

    Socialism;
    From each according to his ability, to each according to his/her need.

    ability = to pay taxes

    needs = society support for those that cannot satisfy their own needs for a decent life.

    Communism:
    One party state, control over the means of production and exchange, control of most social activities.

    Social activities have nothing to do with social media which is a polite term for village gossip on an International scale.

    Social activities encompass education, health care, child care, age care, Communication system, entertainment features, sport and a few more.

    Socialism can be found in countries democratic political system and market economies. Just travel to Europe and and countries with societies that have a social conscience.

    The USA is a dog o eat dog society. It lacks a social conscience. The situation in 2025 is suitable for a case study what a dog eat dog society is all about.
    Example:
    US supreme court issues emergency order blocking full Snap food aid payments
    The high court’s order came after the Trump administration asked a federal appeals court on Friday to block a judge’s order that it distribute November’s full monthly food stamp benefits amid a US federal government shutdown.

    After that request to block was denied, the Trump administration turned to the supreme court in a further attempt to block the order to fully fund Snap food aid payments.

    What the USA needs is a good dose of " From each according to his ability, to each according to his/her need. "
