The rice is cooked with coconut milk and fragrances and served here with a variety of sambal chili sauces with a variety of proteins like hard boiled eggs, anchovies and squid. 2. Deens Maju Nasi Kandar (https://maps.app.goo.gl/5oxkwm6HgqtS3rZu9) – Next up on this Malaysian street food tour we’re eating what is undoubtedly one of my favorite all time meals, nasi kandar. This meal has Indian origins of a selection of rice and curry that was served to boat crews along the Penang docks. Now it’s more than a food, it’s a unique cultural blend that represents Penang, Malaysia. Price: 42.90 MYR ($9.13) for 2 plates.
3. Laksa Mamu Famous Sungai Pinang (https://maps.app.goo.gl/Svd44TrcaVR2L18SA) – You’ll find many types of laksa in Malaysia, but one of the best is Penang Laksa, sour and herbal and with a torch ginger touch. Price – 6 MYR ($1.28)
4. 888 Hokkien Mee (https://maps.app.goo.gl/yumxKtCCUM6JosKX9) – Penang has a large Chinese influence as well, and there are many Chinese influenced Malaysian street foods. Hokkien prawn noodles are very popular and that broth is loaded with the intense flavor of dried shrimp. Price – 13 MRY ($2.77) with the add-ons

5. CHONG Charcoal Seafood Char Kuey Teow (https://maps.app.goo.gl/WVM6nUGrFgxPGgpK7) – Another dish that Penangites and Malaysians are so passionate about is char kuey teow, fried rice noodles with lard and a variety of seafood. Ying is truly the ying to your yang. She is so adorable! I’m inspired to curry up my boiled eggs now and have them with that “string” roti! God knows how I’ll find a recipe for it though. I guess I just have try it and make errors first!
We plan to go Penang in September, after watching the your videos… Hopefully the nasi lemak and the Asam laksa is still around
PEEnang?
There's never enough sambal and it's never spicy enough. I always ask for double or triple portions.
Prawn shells, bones and anything you can't eat should be dumped on the table, not on your plate.
Why dont't you use cutleries when eating? So disgusting
My teenage son always watch Mark’s food videos everytime during his meals, mostly dinner.😂 He finally agreed to move back to Indonesia from The U.S. after watching Mark’s videos about Indonesia. Coz he’s a foodie himself since he was in kindergarten.
I just shifted to Penang couples of week ago and staying at Georgetown. Next week I'm gonna do the food tour like how u did.
nice..
Looking at your little friend, I realize that you need a haircut. Ao, go to the barber, please.
