  1. Jen I have the best pumpkin crunch recipe. My husband was listening to an audiobook & the author had it in the appendix (completely unrelated to the book but it was his wife’s recipe & he had raved about it for years & people kept asking why he didn’t include it if he kept talking about it) So I scribbled it down from an audiobook but it is the best thing!

    1 can pumpkin
    1 & 1/2 cups sugar
    1 can evaporated milk
    2 tsp pumpkin pie spice
    1 tsp salt
    4 eggs
1/2 box yellow cake mix (will not use all)
    1 cup chopped pecans
1 cup (two sticks worth) unsalted butter
Beat 1st 6 ingredients together & pour into a 9×13 greased pan. Sprinkle cake mix over & then chopped pecans. Thinly slice butter to cover surface (easier if you slice lengthwise) 350 for 50-55 minutes

  2. Enjoyed your recipes, thanks for sharing. We do Candied Dill Carrots- Boil carrots to fork tender, drain and add salt, butter, sugar and dill weed to taste. We also do le seur peas with sautéed mushrooms and finely diced onions in butter and dump in merlot red wine and let it reduce to make a glaze, season with salt and pepper. Super yummy!
