In this video, I visit Spice of Asia, a tiny, tucked-away spot in the industrial town of Nelson that seriously blew me away. Walking in felt like stepping back into the 70s and 80s—real old-school vibes, from the décor to the atmosphere.
But it’s the food that truly steals the show. The curries were rich, traditional, and packed with flavour, just like how they used to be done. And the service? Absolutely incredible. Friendly, welcoming, and full of character. Hands down, one of the best hidden gems I’ve found in the past year.
Name: Spice Of Asia

This place used to be tasty grill but the owner moved. I may need to come down here after watching this review, keep up the good work with your food reviews.
You should try tasty grill, it's around the corner from samosa hut also I watched your park 2 chippy review and it seemed you didn't like the panni. I normally get pizza from there but you should try kobeda cuisine. They panni's are fantastic as well as they kebabs. It's always a pleasure to see you doing a food review in Nelson.
Looks excellent and I'm going to visit this week.
