Housing has already started to come down compared to the COVID prices… Housing is in a downturn now. Buy up while you have the chance. Got my 3100 sqft place for 400k this February.
They will just pass it along to their kids. Those kids wont sell it for a reasonable price if at all, the "problem" will continue
There will likely be a lot of consolidation of homes due to 80-90 year olds not being able to live alone. Maybe they outlive their money? Maybe the economy tanks and the AirBnB investors liquidate. There are many factors.
What I can't believe is how we have more empty homes than homeless people in the US

Everyone should go look up the documentary "Birthgap" its on youtube. it will show you how what dave says is true but also a huge issue because theres no one to replace the boomers. so when the boomers do die. there will be no one there to buy them.
Some countries will see population drops of over 50% total population in 40 years from now. its going to be a real issue.
