Adolf Hitler admitted in late 1944 to Leni Riefenstahl that this greek victory urges him to help his ally Italy against his will because he had sympathy for the greeks. And this, he said to her, changed the momentum of the war. Because he lost time for the Russian campaign. In his opinion without the greek war he would have taken Leningrad and Moscow before Winter, defeating Russia. Riefenstahl said that he was very angry about Mussolini and Italy in their talk.
The Germans were forced to change their plans to invade Russia to help their Italian allies, losing valuable time, the Russian winter was approaching😂
