"I guess every form of refuge has its price". What a line! Just don't write 'em like this anymore. Not many realize what a great Blues song this is.
No one finer than Glenn ……had a HUGE crush. So very missed. Randy was such a cutie and had a sweetness that was irresistible. Voice of an angel with such control and immaculate phrasing. So sad they lost him, as much as I love Timothy B. Schmidt no one sang Take It to the Limit as well as Randy and hit those killer high notes.
You're still the same old girl you used to be!
Don Felder’s lead guitar is the glue to the frame that holds this masterpiece together. Yes – all other comments are spot on (lyrics , harmony, live performance, etc), but the subtle note dropping by Felder is something to behold.
At the time this song was released, I had a girlfriend and her behavior was similar to the situation in this song,
so towards the end of our relationship, I played this song for her on the guitar. She was smiling cheerfully.
Listen to the melodies & harmonies, people in 2025 . . .
Story-telling + guitar riffs & great percussion, drums.
Another great live concert of the Eagles with even better video and audio is the 1994 – "Hell Freezes Over concert. Holy smokes is it good.
Doesn't get any better
So much talent in this band!!!
Only, the Beach Boys had better. Nobody else! ❤️
