Why Every Bird Is Afraid Of Owls! 😱💀 #science #nature #facts
When a pigeon flies, its wings make a flapping sound.
The Peregrine Falcon’s wings sound even louder.
But listen to the Barn Owl — silence!
Even a super-sensitive microphone can’t catch the sound of its wings.
That’s because the edges of its feathers aren’t sharp like the falcon’s,
they’re soft like a brush, gently smoothing the air instead of cutting it.
Also, its wings are larger compared to its body,
so it creates lift with very little effort
and flies completely silently.
That’s why the Barn Owl, in the dark of night,
can see and hear its prey —
but is never heard itself.
