When I play countryballs at war as the Ottoman Empire, in the napoleonic wars campaign, I always ally with France.
Guys Guys, didn't you know that Cyprus was independent at that time. They were weak but still they kept independence.
They where going through it ✌️
Basically
1- financially broke and depressed
2- military complete garbage
3- unrest and civil strife everywhere
4- ottomans weren’t going to fight with napoleon anyways after he had invaded in Egypt
5- Russia
The Ottomans did (briefly) Join the French side.
In fact, Napoleon already HAD plans to invade the Ottoman Empire WITH Russia and carve up the country with them, too bad this whole Russo-Napoleonic alliance thing fell apart upon the smallest of inconvenience on France's side.
