The Kurdish people are arguably the largest stateless ethnic group in the world. Millions of people who share a culture, ethnic background, and language, but don’t have power over their own future. And importantly, they’ve been used as a tool by global powers trying to influence the middle east for decades.

  1. Kurds are completely free in Türkiye. They can engage in politics, become civil servants, become ministers. The current Minister of Economy is a Kurd, for example. (I'm sure there are many more examples, but we don't pay attention to ethnicity in Türkiye, so I don't know. I've never researched who's Kurdish and who's Turkish. Doing so in Türkiye would be quite shameful and uncouth.) They can establish companies, and there are wealthy Kurdish businesspeople. They can become artists, and there are many famous Kurdish artists loved by both Turks and Kurds. No one in Türkiye is taxed excessively for being a Kurd, and no one is denied their right to education or healthcare because they're a Kurd. A Turk and a Kurd are completely identical under the law. They can speak their own language, of course, and there's no pressure or legal coercion involved.

The video mentions education as an example of the oppression that Turks inflict on Kurds. The language of education in Türkiye is Turkish. I don't understand what's so strange about this. Education in Germany is in German, in England in English, in France in French, and so on. Turkey is home to not only Kurds but also people of diverse ethnic backgrounds (Laz, Georgian, Bulgarian, Arab, Armenian, Circassian, etc.). It's not the state's duty to provide education in the country's official language to all of them. The state's duty is to grant everyone the right to education in the country's official language. Individuals can, if they so choose, receive education in their native language. Seeing this as a policy of oppression or assimilation, taking up arms and taking to the mountains, setting bomb traps for state soldiers and police, and causing the deaths of countless civilians by detonating bombs in the middle of a city is terrorism, separatism, and ingratitude.

  2. Kurds speak their language freely in Turkey. No minority has been deprived of the rights guaranteed by the Constitution on the basis of their ethnic identity. In Turkey, Kurds have been able to attain all positions in both the bureaucracy and the military. Kurds have attained all positions available in Turkey, such as Prime Minister, General, and Member of Parliament, and they remain there. The aim of America and Europe, which armed the Kurds, is to establish their own puppet Kurdistan state in the region. It is to seize the natural resources in the region and create a security umbrella for Israel.

  3. That's a very bad telling of what happened. So Europeans conquer your land and you are the bad guy for defending it? They wanted to give Turkey some unimportant part of the country. Kurds wouldn't have had a good chunk of land either.
What is it with the West wanting to create small unimportant countries that can't defend themselves?

  4. Denying Kurds citizenship? Everyone in Turkey became a citizen not just Turks. Turkish isn't just an ethnicity, it's a citizenship. Americans should know how that works. Everyone in the US is an American no matter what he's ethnicity is.
    I hate propaganda like this.
