  1. The French gave up fighting and were so stupid they left a major error and yet the Germans pulled the same move they did in world War one.

The Swiss and Portugal would rather support the bad guys through nuterailrty and used nuterailrty to be a complete puppets

The brittish gave Germany the chance they needed to invade half of eroupe and commit the holocaust and got they asses handed to them

The soviets played both sides they helped Germany commit some atrocities in eroupe and commited some of their own and yet got sit at the winners table and act like they weren't on both sides of the moral equation

Argentina played for axis but never joined the fight but when the war would be over in 20 minutes they joined the alies then took in several high profile hiding monsters and war criminals

And I got plenty more grievances with some countries actions during the second world War whether it be horrors or pure stupidity but these are ones people talk about the least

  2. A big, big problem for the Italian military was the rampant corruption and nepotism.
Many officers and generals were appointed not for competency, but loyalty to and ties within the fascist party. This lead to a lot of incompetent people being put into positions of authority.

Italy also wasn't particularly industrialized compared to the other major powers, so they didn't really have the means to modernize their military even if they had had access to raw materials
