Fascism is a word as misunderstood as it is misused.
Now these hyperbolic politicians could ALMOST be forgiven for not really knowing what they are talking about… because NOBODY really knows what they are talking about…
George Orwell once wrote that “‘Fascism’’ has now no meaning except in so far as it signifies something not desirable.”
Ian Kershaw who has dedicated his life to being one of the world’s preeminent researchers on the social history of Germany in the 20th Century and even HE said that “defining Fascism is like trying to staple jelly to the wall”.
A hard and fast definition never existed in the first place, and even if it did, it has changed over time from an idealistic but ultimately flawed movement coming out of a continent going through some radical change, into what it is today which is just “A bad thing that we really shouldn’t do again”.
For most people that may be all they NEED to know, but it does raise some uncomfortable questions

I have to point out that describing Adolf Rosenberger as a founder of Porsche and Audi is a gross overstatement. He was a racedriver and friend of Ferdinand Porsche who invested with the company in hopes to influence their involvment in race car development. His connection to Audi is basically non-existant. He was no founder of the auto union and the auto union was also not the predecessor to Audi but a merger of some of Audis subsidiaries – as Audi (originally Horch) already existed for 30 years and was Germanys second largest car company at the time. Why make up examples when there are so many horrible real ones from that time?
A former Soviet official once told me that Stalin called Hitler a fascist. The reason was he could not call him a socialist because they were socialists themselves.
Noteworthy Note: The German & Italian names of the BASSOON – Fagott & fagotto – come from the same “bundle of sticks,” as the bassoon actually looks like a bundle of sticks!
The same reason why nobody cares about being called a bigot and transphobe. They wear it as badge of honor instead.
Pretty good video, although I feel like you left out a key part that is also reflected by the "revolutionary," stat for fascism being at max. Those fascist states did not take power through a mass uprising, but rather by winning through electoral politics and diminishing democracy from within. To me that isn't truly revolutionary.
Bro your leftism is showing…
Authoritarian ultra nationalistm without a somewhat free market
after reading these comments, i can say that here some people didn’t understand mush.
in US they don’t teach history? and why it’s always right vs left and pointing the finger to each other?
Ive heard it said that communism is when gov takes control of corporations and fascism is when corps take control of the gov. I dont know man, both sound the same to me. I think the world needs more originalists. What did words and titles originally mean, and stick with that. Because social engineering relies on the manipulation of words.
This it why we are fucked. Wouldn't know fascism if it slapped you in the face. When it does take over, we will be asking how did this happen. Its always knowones fault because fascism is victimism. Fascism is born from hate. If you want prove then read mein kampf. If fascism is about unity, why did it cause more deaths than any war in history. Depending on your sources, ww2 in Europe alone caused the deaths 40 to 60 million. 26 million were Russians, 10 million were jews, gays, blacks, socialist, disabled physically and mentally. (These were the 'weak' sticks in this guys analogy)and I haven't included the deaths of poland which lost 15% of its population and the our boys that died fighting it. Most if not all cause by the Politics and decisions of the National socialist Workers Party (NAZI) and it all happened in 6 years or 10 if you go by when the NAZI party came to power.
This it what you are arguing to defend. If you like the Nazies then stop cowering behind bullshit rhetoric and start attacking 'the boats' or do you need the protection of a like-minded government to justify your actions. If we don't learn from history, we are doomed to repeat it! Our world is fucked due to greedy capitalist trying to take everything we got and fascism is the escape from them being punished by the people. They can't bing them to justice if your oppressing the once who would call for it. I employ you to look up ww2 and it's battles, how they came to power and the atrocities that were committed for that will be our future it we don't work together and keep letting our media split us up. Alan turring was the guy who invented the prosessor which was used to crack the enigma code and is why you have tablets, phones, computers and anything with a circuit board. He was gay and would of been killed by the Nazies given the chance. Is he a weak stick?
If we won ww2 and defeated Fascism, why is inequality still a problem. We didn't kill fascism. It became a part of our pop culture. It moved sides and changed its face. Fascism is blood and soil, it is birthright and insane national pride. Its how they get you. Armt you proud of your own nation despite the discrimination and slave labour that our capitalist society feeds off. Don't you think we are more advanced and more intelligent than 3rd world counties we enslave to make phones, toys, clothes, food, oil and other resources to feed our buying habits and pop culture. Fascism is just a word however it's policies resinate though history. Words are the most powerful weapon you can have. Adolf Hitler used words to indoctrinate a nation and plunge eroupe into the darkest point in our history. You don't need to be a billionaire to be happy, some things in life you just can't buy and going fascist sorry, 'not fascism' is not a solution. Its how we fuck ourselves over. Finding vids like this and thinking your proving them wrong is part of the problem but fuck it, at least the uniforms look cool, make yourself look like a stormtrooper today. Also the reason we can talk about this is because we still have free speech… apart from gaza, can't talk about that because we are funding the genocide.. umm I mean cos their 'terrorists'. Speaking of words being thrown around that one is very popular.
I do also know that the Nazi's did not call themselves fascists, they called themselves National Socialist because Hitler didn't like the fact that Italy came up with fascism before him so he was like I made my own thing even though it is cut from the same cloth.
I know this is a big ass comment but it goes so deep that it is scary as hell and this is just the tip of the iceberg. I haven't even talked about our nations impact on climate change and the atrocities we have done in over 50 different countries in the span of 80 years alone and then theres the founding of America and The commonwealth (the british empire) and the other crap France, Germany, Italy, most of eroupe tbh. Israel, Morroco. Japan, China and Russia have been upto. Everyone is playing the blame game when we are all guilty.
